After over six years on Broadway “SIX: The Musical” – a show featuring the six wives of King Henry VIII – has set the date for its final performance on Broadway – January 3, 2027.
When the final curtain drops, the musical would have had a total of 2,178 performances.
“SIX” made its Broadway debut less than a month before the onslaught of the covid pandemic; but once theatres were again allowed to open, “SIX” was the first show to open its doors on October 3.
After making its theatrical debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2022, “SIX” has earned 35 international awards including the Tony Award for Best Original Score and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.
The West End production of “SIX” will continue to run.
