Spidey has slung his web high and wide!

The newest Spider Man film “Brand New Day” debuted in theatres on July 31 and has been slaying at the box office around the world.

After just four weeks, the film has reached the number two spot on the all-time domestic chart with $858.4 million; edging out “Avengers: Endgame” with $858.3 million.  “Brand New Day” holds the record as the fastest film to reach $800 million in just 19 days.

The film still has a way to go to take over the number one spot that is held by “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens” with a record of $936.6 million.

And over the weekend, “Spider Man: Brand New Day” broke the $2 billion mark globally with a total of $2.2 billion at the global box office to take over the number six spot worldwide at the box office – beating out “The Force Awakens”.

Next on the list is “Titanic” in fifth place with $2.26 billion; followed by the Chinese film “Ne Zha 2” at $2.27 billion.

Tom Holland’s “Spider Man” has helped the Hollywood film industry bring in over $7 billion so far this year.
