Spidey has captured the world in his web!
The newest Spiderman film – “Spider Man: Brand New Day” was released on July 31 and in that time has set a number of box office records.
The latest feat is $2 billion at the global box office. It is only the eighth time in history that a film has had a $2 billion global box office draw in just three weeks after a release. The film has drawn $785 million in North America.
There is much speculation as to whether “Brand New Day” will surpass “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at $936 million or reach the $1 billion mark domestically.
In second place is the epic “The Odyssey” with a total of $500 million in just two weeks.
“The End of Oak Street”, “Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie”, and “Katseye: Wild Hearts” round out the top five.
