The Country Music Hall of Fame duo that brought the world the seven time platinum “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” – Brooks & Dunn – have just added to their plethora of gold and platinum awards with six new additions to the collection.

and “She’s Not The Cheatin’ Kind,” “Hard Workin’ Man” and “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone” have all earned their platinum status for selling at least one million copies (downloads and equivalent streams) – 1,500 streams equals one physical sale or download.

“Cowgirls Don’t Cry” and “Ain’t Nothin’ Bout You” have been upgraded to double platinum status.

And the hit song “Red Dirt Road” is now listed at three times platinum.

A song or album earns platinum status when it sells one million copies or downloads in the United States.  An additional platinum award is earned for each additional million copies sold.

Brooks & Dunn are about to launch a North American tour with David Lee Murphy, Tucker Wetmore, Willow Avalon, Kaitlin Butts, Caylee Hammack and Angie K. joining the tour on select dates.

Once artists like Brooks & Dunn hit the Country Music Hall of Fame, folks don’t expect much in the way of new ideas. But, thirty-plus years into their career, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn long ago dialed in their generation-defining sound and style. The best-selling duo of all time, their yin-and-yang country-rock blend has earned them 20 Number Ones-plenty of material to fill stadium-rocking set lists. And with a Grammy-winning, course-of-history shifting catalog written mostly themselves, they could rest easy knowing without doubt they left a permanent mark on the American songbook.
