As the 2026 NASCAR season heads for the playoffs and the end of the season in November, NASCAR officials are working hard to put together a new schedule for the 2027 season.
While the full schedule is not yet ready, a few of the dates have been announced.
And the biggest news of all is that after an absence of several years, The Busch Light Clash is making a return to Daytona but with a new name – the Wheatley Vodka Clash!
Daytona Week begins with The Clash on February 13 and culminates with the annual 500 on February 21.
Details about the format for The Clash will be forthcoming at a later date.
Daytona International Speedway has released the dates for all NASCAR events in the 2027 season:
Feb 13 – the Wheatley Vodka Clash
Feb 17 – Cup Series Daytona 500 qualifying
Feb 18 – the Duel Races at Daytona
Feb 19 – Craftsman Truck Series race
Feb 20 – O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race
Feb 21 – Daytona 500
The Coke Zero 400 will remain the final race in the regular season in August:
Aug 27 – O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race
Aug 28 Coke Zero 400
In other NASCAR racing news, the Craftsman Truck Series will return next season for some road course racing on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida on March 6 in a double header weekend with the NTT IndyCar Series.
The road course race in central New York at Watkins Glen International returns to the latter part of the season and the playoffs instead of an early spring date when the ground is usually covered in snow.
The season is expected to conclude again next year at Homestead-Miami Speedway in early November.
At some point NASCAR wants to rotate the final race of the season.
