Broadway Box Office: June 16

After being shut down for a few weeks for repairs from a fire, “The Book of Mormon” had a booming box office draw last week, thanks to some help from members of the original cast.

Thirty-nine shows are currently running on Broadway and brought in a total of ovr $38 million last week.

As a part of their 15^th anniversary on Broadway, “The Book of Mormon” held a “Magical Mormon Mystery Week” where members of the original cast made cameo appearances and helped to put “The Book of Mormon” at the top of the list in the Million Dollar Club and the $2 Million Dollar Club”. 

The first week after the Tony Awards, the best winning productions saw a modest increase at the box office.

Just 16 of the 39 shows currently running on Broadway made it into the Million Dollar Club last week with “The Book of Mormon” and “Hamilton” reaching the $2 Million mark.
