Nearly everyone knows about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; but what about the Songwriters Hall of Fame????
Without the songwriters there would be no hit songs!
On June 11 the 2026 class of Songwriter Hall members will be inducted at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
The 2026 class of Hall of Famers are Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS, Kenny Loggins, Alanis Morissette, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, and Taylor Swift.
A former Hal David Starlight Award recipient; Taylor Swift is the first to become a full member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The Starlight Award is presented to an artists the SHOF considers is a “gifted songwriters who are at an apex in their careers and are making a significant impact in the music industry via their original songs.”
RAYE is the 2026 Hal David Starlight Award recipient with John Fogerty receiving the biggest award of the night – the Johnny Mercer Award.
Hall of Fame members Dallas Austin, Steve Miller, and chairman Nile Rodgers are among those who will be performing during the gala event.
