If you had an unlimited budget for 24 hours, what would you do?

If money was no object, the first thing I would do is pay off ALL the bills and start over with a clean slate.

Having rented most of my adult life, it would be nice to have a place that I could call my own. As much as I would love to have a boat I could live on; I’m not sure if it would be in the budget. Not just a traditional houseboat, but taking an old Paddlewheel boat or barge and convert it to a home.

My dad lives in a care home and I would love to be able to see him. He won’t remember anything I tell him, but it would still be great to spend some time with him and not just an hour or two. And just maybe, I could coax him into playing a little piano. He remembers the music, but he doesn’t realize he remembers. The music gene is not affected by Alzheimer’s but he doesn’t realize that eighter.

I would definitely make sure I stocked up on all my supplies – food and so forth – so that I would have to worry about it for a bit. If the pandemic taught me anything, it was to make sure I always have a good supply of food and supplies in case anything happens – pandemic, snow storm, etc.

The musician in me would love to have a few instruments. I love the hammered dulcimer and the uillean pipes and want to learn how to play them. I have a couple of guitars; but some how you never have enough. I would like to learn bass, but I want an acoustic bass, not an electric one.

For some reason, I feel a rather intimidated by an electric guitar or bass.

I write about all of the NACAR races, it would be nice to make arrangements to go and see a couple in person.

But, it is all just a pipe dream; the only people who can do whatever they want without worrying about money are the mega-rich….and that will never be me.
