Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins has taken the band’s 1995 album Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” and “reimagined” it; this time with a full orchestra. 

Corgan is bringing a 60 piece orchestra for a handful of UK and European dates in September.

Via the press release, Corgin is looking to paying homage to the album while expanding the “definition and intention of opera.”

Sept 11 at Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid, Spain

Last year, Smashing Pumpkins released a 30th anniversary of “Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness”.
