After setting a new record last season at the box office, Broadway is on course to set another new record this season.  In the process there has been a number of shows that have extended their runs; not just once but two and three times.

There have also been a number of shows to recoup their entire investments.  One such show is the one actor play “Every Brilliant Thing” starring the original Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe.

The show not only recouped their $5.75 million; but did so in a little over two months!

The Celine Dion jukebox musical “Titanique” has extended its Broadway run to September 20.

Originally on Off-Broadway, the cast and crew made the move to Broadway with previews back on March 26 with an official opening on April 12.

Following the popularity of its namesake hit film – “The Rocky Horror Picture Show –  the musical “The Rocky Horror Show” has extended its original limited run once again.

After opening on April 23, he show was originally set to close on June 21 and due to its popularity was extended to July 19.  Now in its second extension, the show is set to close on November 29.

The musical “Girl, interrupted” has yet to make an official opening on Off-Broadway.  Set for an official opening for previews on May 13 with an official opening on June 4, the show was originally scheduled to close on June 21; but has now extended the run through June 28.
