After being postponed in 2024, the Rock Opera “Tommy” is finally getting a launch date for its national tour later this year.
The musical is scheduled to open the tour in Cleveland with stops in Boston, Denver, Houston, and Minneapolis. A full tour schedule is forthcoming but only the first two dates have been announced.
Based on the song by The Who, “Tommy” had a limited engagement run on Broadway in 2024 with a tour to follow; which was subsequently postponed.
Music for the musical was created by The Who member Pete Townsend.
