The Recording Academy has announced the 2026 class of musical inductees that include 2Pac, Radiohead, and Janet Jackson for the Grammy Hall of Fame.
The recordings will be officially inducted at the Grammy Hall of Fame gala on May 8.
Recordings are inducted based on the qualitative or historical significance of the single or album and must be at least 25 years old. A total of 14 recordings – eleven albums and three singles – have been selected.
Recording Academy President and CEO Harvey Mason spoke on the new Hall of Fame inductees saying, “it’s a privilege to recognize these influential recordings as the 2026 Grammy Hall Of Fame inductees. Each selection reflects the creativity, craft and cultural impact that recorded music can carry across decades. We’re honored to help preserve these orks and celebrate the artists and communities behind them, so their legacies continue to inspire generations to come.”
Grammy Museum President and CEO Michael Sticka added, “the Grammy Hall Of Fame is a vital bridge between music’s past and present — honoring recordings that changed the way we listen, create and connect. We’re proud to celebrate this year’s class at the Grammy Hall Of Fame Gala this May.”
The Grammy Hall of Fame will have a total of 1,179 recordings once the newest members are inducted.
