After some recent closings on Broadway, just 29 shows ran last week.
In it’s final week, “Oedipus” set a new record at Studio 54 with over $1.2 million at the box office to bring in the largest receipts in the history of Studio 54.
While the overall box office numbers were down five percent last week, they still brought in over $30 million and filled a total of 94% of the audience capacity. The Broadway Week continued last week where theatre fans can get a buy one full price ticket and get one free. Broadway Week ends February 12.
Just 12 shows made it into the Million Dollar Club last week with “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” the only show to break the $2 million mark.
“Stranger Things: The First Shadow” is dark this week, while the hit Netflix series is filming on the Marquis Theatre stage this week.

The 90% Club fared much better with all but six of the shows making it into the Club – 23 of the 29. The top three shows had at least 100% audience capacity.
