Jon Hamm is hosting the gala event that will name the best players’ honours in the NFL, the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, and the 2026 Class of the NFL Hall of Fame.

On the red carpet, the winner of the Assistant Coach of the Year went to New England Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels.
The night of Honours begins with a little musical entertainment from the NFL Players Choir as scenes from the past season aired behind them.
Atlanta Falcons player B’Jean Robinson is the DJ for the night.
Michael Strahan presents the first award of the night for Defensive Player of the Year to Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns. He said that it starts with great teammates and thanked those teammates. Garrett broke a record that has stood for some 25 years when he set a new single season sack record.
Myles Garrett also won the Sack Leader Award.
The award for Offensive Rookie of the Year goes to Tetairoa McMillan of the Carolina Panthers.
Buffalo Bills’ player James Cook won the Jim Brown Rushing Award.
A new award this season, the Protector of the Year goes to Joe Thuney of the Chicago Bears. It is due to the hard work of Deion Dawkins that this award is now a part of the NFL Honours. The award is a group of players – an O-Line.
The Comeback Player of the Year Award goes to Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers. He called his new baby girl his super-power.

Before Tiffany Hadish presented the award for Coach of the Year she had to call out some of the players for their fashions and had them strut. Hadish said it was like the Paris runway but the models were not afraid to eat. New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was named Coach of the Year. Via video, Vrabel said that the award belongs to the staff and the players.
The Flag Football Players of the Year are Brysen Wright and Ava Rotondi.
Budda Baker is the Art Rooney Award for Sportsmanship winner.
Dave Ettinger of Garden City High School and Dylen Smith of Palisades Charter High School were named the Don Shula High School Coaches of the Year.
The award for Best Moment of the Year went to Ice Man quarterback Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears to DJ Moore for a touchdown.

The new inductees will receive their gold jackets when they are officially enshrined in August.
Christian McCaffrey is the Salute to Service Award winner. Father Ed, presented the award.

The award for Defensive Rookie of the Year goes to Carson Schwesinger.
The NFL Players Choir returns for the In Memoriam segment honouring those who have passed on over the past year.
The award for Offensive Player of the Year goes to Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks. Preparing for the Super Bowl, Jaxson was not in attendance.
E-40 entertained the audience during the commercial break and had people on their feet dancing.
In one of the closest counts in the history of the award, the 2026 Most Valuable Player of the Year Award goes to Matthew Stafford. The quarterback had his four daughters on stage with him to accept the award. He noted that his Rams teammates should have their names on the award too.
The final award of the night for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award went to Washington Commanders’ Bobby Wagner. Wagner said that he didn’t believe he would get the award…and almost didn’t come to the awards. He said that everything he does is because of his mom and she lives through him. His mother died as the result of a stroke when he was a freshman in college.
