Luke Sheppard brought one of the most lovable bears to life on the West End.  “Paddington the Musical” officially opened at Savoy Theatre on London’s West End November 30.

Originally set for a very limited engagement, the show has been extended to February 14.

Tickets for the new dates are available now.

Since Michael Bond first book featuring the lovable marmalade eating bear; Paddington has appeared in numerous books and films…and now he is a star on London’s West End.

Putting Paddington on the stage involves a mix of Arti Shaw in the costume on stage and James Hameed off stage voicing the lovable bear.  Some remote puppeteering is involved to create the facial movements.

A cast album release has also been planned for a March 2026 release.  The album will be available on collectible vinyl in May.

Paddington has the distinction of being the very first character to cross from England to France when the Chunnel first opened.
