After ending the 2025 race at Phoenix on Sunday night, NASCAR donned its best and walked the red carpet before they handed out the awards in Scottsdale.
Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson took home his second championship Tuesday night and gave car owner his 15th championship – 30 years after former HMS driver and current co-chairman Jeff Gordon earned the first of his four championships.
With the help of part time driver Aric Almirola, Joe Gibbs Racing took home the owner’s championship trophy in the Xfinity Series with the multiple driver number 19 car.
Richard Childress Racing driver Jesse Love was the only driver from JR Motorsports in the championship four and went on to win the race…and the championship.
In the Craftsman Truck Series, there are 25 races in the season, Corey Heim won a total of 12 of them on his way to the championship in the Tricon Garage number eleven truck.
Thanks to Corey Heim’s 12 wins, Toyota won the manufacturers championship in the Truck Series with Chevrolet winning the championship in both the Xfinity and Cup Series.
It was not surprise who would take home the fan voted National Motorsports Press Association Most Popular Driver Awards.
For the eight year in a row, Chase Elliott took home the award in the Cup Series with Justin Allgaier earning his sixth award in seven years, and Truck Series driver Rajah Caruth takes home the trophy for the second year in a row.
Winning five races during the season and even making it through the first round of the playoffs, three time Australian SuperCars champion New Zealand born driver Shane van Gisbergen won the Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award in the Cup Series.
Falling just short of winning the championship with 10 wins, 19 year old Connor Zilisch wins the Rookie of the Year Award in the Xfinity Series.
And Gio Ruggiero took home the Rookie of the Year award in the Craftsman Truck Series.
Using his race car as a platform for awareness, Daniel Dye uses his car to promote the non-profit organization he founded when he was 14 years old – the “Race to Stop Suicide”. For his efforts the Comcast Community Champion of the Year Award presented their award to Daniel Dye.
The 2025 Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award was presented to Kate O’Neal for her The Caring Link – providing “Care Closets” in schools in Madison County, Alabama. For her efforts, O’Neal will receive a $100,000 donation from NASCAR to her Caring Closets organization.
Speaking on winning the award O’Neal said, “I am sincerely honored to receive the Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award. This incredible gift will help us expand our mission to ensure that every child in our community has the essentials to learn, grow and thrive. Together, we can change lives one student at a time.”
A long standing race fan, O’Neal makes her home in Hazel Green, Alabama – just down the road from Talladega Superspeedway.
A long time racer in the Northeastern United States, Mike Joey has lent his voice to race broadcasts for over 50 years. For his efforts, Joy has been named the 2025 National Motorsports Press Association’s Myers Brothers Award.
The Billy and Boby Myers Award is presented to “individuals and/or groups who have provided outstanding contributions to the sport of stock car racing.”
