Race two in the round of eight for the Xfinity Series stops at Talladega Superspeedway for the United Rentals 250.
Thirty-eight teams brought cars to Talladega for 38 starting spots.
A superspeedway track, there is no practice prior to qualifying as a cost and car saving measure. There will be two rounds of qualifying with the top 10 making a second round to set the pole.
The first driver on the track to make a qualifying run is Carson Ware who posted a time of 55.387 seconds around the 2.66 mile track.
Caesar Bacarella broke the 55 second mark with a time of 5.483 seconds.
Jeb Burton is the first driver to break the 53 second mark with a time of 52.972 seconds.
Taylor Gray did not make a qualifying run with a transmission issue. He will start the race from the back of the field.
Jesse Love, William Sawalich, Christian Eckes, Brandon Jones, Jeb Burton, Carson Kvapil, Austin Hill, Connor Zilisch, Aric Almirola, and Justin Allgaier will all be moving on to round two of qualifying.
With a time of 52.605 seconds, Jesse Love gets his ninth pole with William Sawalich starting alongside on the front row.

Stages one and two are 25 laps each with stage three lasting 44 laps for a total of 94 laps around the 2.66 mile track.
Blaine Perkins and Mason Maggio will start the race from the back of the field after crews made some unapproved adjustments to the cars. After dropping out of qualifying due to a transmission issue, Taylor Gray will start the race from the back of the field with a transmission change.
There are no lights at Talladega, NASCAR has announced that 6pm local time (CDT) will be the point they begin the process of shutting down the race if it has not completed by that time.
Jesse Love brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with William Sawalich alongside. Love gets a push and takes the lead. Drivers can push but cannot lock bumpers and must release on the turns.

Lap six, the drivers have formed a third lane.

Lap seven, running side by side, Jesse Love and William Sawalich swap the lead back and forth.
Lap eight, Jesse Love gets out in front for the lead with Christian Eckes in second; Carson Kvapil, William Sawalich, and Austin Hill round out the top five.
Lap eleven, there is a lot of shuffling back and forth among the drivers – sliding up and back depending on which lane is moving.
Lap 12, the top five are Jesse Love, Austin Hill, Aric Almirola, William Sawalich, and Jeb Burton.
William Sawalich led the first lap; Jesse Love has led every lap since.
The first caution flag of the race comes out on lap 15 for a big crash involving several cars. Brandon Jones, Sam Mayer, Harrison Burton, Sheldon Creed, Jeb Burton, Jeremy Clements, Ryan Sieg, Jordan Anderson, Brenden Queen, and Anthony Alfredo were all involved.

NASCAR has red flagged the race. Teams cannot work on the cars during a red flag condition; they can only assess the damage and plan for repairs.
Not only do the track crews have a great deal of debris to clean up; they must also make some repairs to the wall.
After a 16 minute red flag, the yellow flag has been displayed and the drivers are moving again with several making a pit stop.
Several drivers have been penalized for coming down pit road while it was closed and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.
NASCAR has told the 41 car of Sam Mayer to take his car to the garage after the “crash clock” has expired. He is out of the race.

Sheldon Creed is out of the race, this is his eighth DNF of the season.

The caution flag comes out on lap 44 for a crash in a four wide battle. William Sawalich, Dean Thompson, Connor Zilisch, Leland Honeyman, Blaine Perkins, and Connor Mosack were all involved.
