It has been a busy week at Kaulig Racing…

Last week during the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Ty Dillon slowed down but failed to five any indication of his slowing down or that he was going to make a pit stop.  As a result, William Byron slammed into Dillon taking them both out of the race.

During his interview after being released from the infield care center, Dillon said that he told the spotter Joe White that he was slowing down to come down pit road but that message was never relayed to any of the other spotters.

Upon arriving at Talladega Superspeedway for the race this weekend, Kaulig Racing informed White that his services were no longer needed.

White was scheduled to leave the number 10 team at the end of the season.

Kaulig has announced that Frank Deiny will be the spotter for AJ Allmendinger in the number 16 car and TJ Bell will be spotting for Ty Dillon.

In other Kaulig news, the first driver for the new RAM trucks has been named.

ARCA Menards Series champion and part time truck and Xfinity series driver Brenden “Butterbean” Queen will be driving full time for Kaulig Racing next season in the new RAM truck in the Craftsman Truck Series.

Shortly after RAM announced that they were coming to NASCAR next year, Kaulig Racing made the announcement that they would be running five trucks next year.  Queen is the first of those five drivers.

In a team release Queen said, “a big thanks to Matt Kaulig, Chris Rice, RAM, and everyone at Kaulig Racing for this opportunity.  I’m just a short-track kid who’s worked hard every day, never really knowing if I’d ever make it to this level. I’m very thankful for this chance and can’t wait to get rolling with RAM and Kaulig Racing. The goals are simple: build a winning team and chase championships.”

CEO of Kaulig Racing Chris Rice spoke on Queen saying, “it’s been amazing to see what Brenden is capable of, from winning multiple championships at his local short track to his dominant ARCA championship season   He’s proven he deserves this opportunity, and we can’t wait to see what he does in the Truck Series next year.”

Kaulig has not yet announced the truck numbers or any crew for the new RAM truck teams.
