Actress Cynthia Erivo will remain in the world of fantasy for her next role when she goes a green witch to a bad fairy in the animated film “Bad Fairies”.
Erivo will voice the trailblazing fairy Jayne Staplegun, who along with her fellow fairies shake up their magical world.
The film is directed by Megan Nicole Dong and Olivier Staphylas. Deborah Frances-White created the original screenplay.
A musical comedy, Toby Marlow, Lucy Moss, and Isabella Summers (Florence + The Machine) are writing the music.
The film is aiming for a May 2027 release.
Carolyn Soper, Sim Evan-Hones, James C.J. Williams, Uwe Heidschötter, Rikke Asbjoern and Chris Garbutt are also involved with the project.
