Last week Trackhouse Racing announced that Randall Burnett would be moving over to be the crew chief for incoming rookie driver Connor Zilisch when the Xfinity Series phenom moves up to the Cup Series next season.
Burnett has been the crew chief for the Richard Childress Racing number eight car driven by Kyle Busch.
Over the weekend Burnett noted that some changes were needed in the team.
RCR has announced that beginning today (Oct1) Andy Street would take over the crew chief duties for the number eight car. Burnett will remain with the team in a supportive role for the remainder of the season.
Connor Zilisch currently drives the number 88 car for JR Motorsports where he has tied the record for the most wins in a single season with Greg Biffle at nine. He currently sits atop the leaderboard in points and the playoffs.
