Standing on stage, Blues rocker Kenny Wayne Shepherd looks like he is a young rocker; but next spring he will be touring to celebrate 30 years since the release of his debut album “Ledbetter Heights”.

With Jimmie Vaughan and Eric Johnson appearing on select dates, Shepherd will get things started mid-February and run into May.

Along with his career spanning hits, Shepherd will be playing “Ledbetter Heights” in its entirety.

Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning 10am on October 3.

Less than a year after its release, “Ledbetter Heights” earned Shepherd his first of five platinum awards. (The Recording Industry of America certifies a record platinum when it sells at least one million copies).

Shepherd is ranked number three on “Guitar World’s” list of top Blues artists behind BB King and Eric Clapton.

Speaking on the album Kenny Wayne Shepherd said, “in a lot of ways, this is the album that gave me everything. Revisiting it put me back in touch with the wonder and excitement of those days. I didn’t know what lay ahead. I just knew I loved playing the blues.”

Since those early days, Shepherd has travelled the world as a solo artist and numerous artists including Bob Dylan, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Buddy Guy, Eric Johnson, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and Bobby Bush.
