He is one of the biggest stars in Latin Music and performs all over the world…except the United States!

American fans have been questioning why Bad Bunny has not given any performances in the United States.  The Puerto Rican (American citizen) musician related in a recent interview that his decision not to perform in the U.S. was tied to the recent massive deportations by the White House administration.

Born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny performs his music in Spanish; drawing millions of avid fans.  He noted that he was “concerned for his Latino fans,” and afraid that ICE might be lurking outside the concert venues.

Bad Bunny said, “there were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate — I’ve performed there many times.  All of [the shows] have been successful. All of them have been magnificent.”

He is closing out his No Me Quiero Ir de Aqui residency on September 14 in his homeland of Puerto Rico.

He noted, “I’ve enjoyed connecting with Latinos who have been living in the US, but specifically, for a residency here in Puerto Rico, when we are an incorporated territory of the U.S… People from the U.S. could come here to see the show.  Latinos and Puerto Ricans of the United States could also travel here, or to any part of the world.”

He added: “but there was the issue of — like, f*****g ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”

Bad Bunny is very vocal about his distaste for ICE and the current White House administration.

He will begin his Debi Tirar Mas Fotos tour in November with dates in Latin America including Mexico before touring in Europe, Australia, and Asia.
