Daily writing prompt
What are you doing this evening?

What am I doing this evening???

Pretty much the same thing I do most every other night…work!

Before Covid invaded our lives, I spent at least one night a week – most of the time – out at a local venue taking photos and writing articles about performances in the area; sometime local, sometime national acts. But now, it is seldom that I do get out. It was so hot over the summer that I made it to only one outdoor concert.

As an independent journalist, I don’t have a clock…I write seven days a week, working to try and build enough posts to garner the page views needed to make a little money. In case you are not aware, monetized sites earn about a penny for every 1,000 page views. That means it takes MILLIONS of page views to make anything. I have quite a ways to go to reach that number. I figure by time the next president is sworn in, I might have hit the 100,000 mark.

I freely admit to using the proffered AI for photos but I absolutely refuse to use any form of AI in my writing. If the words on the page are not my own, then my name should not be on that page.

One thing about being my own boss is that I chose the articles I want to write…and hopefully interest others in the process.
