Earlier this year Ram announced a return to NASCAR next season in the Craftsman Truck Series. Kaulig Racing is the first team to announce that they would be running Ram trucks next season.
While Kaulig Racing owner Matt Kaulig has yet to announce any drivers or teams; as a Daytona Beach Ram dealership for a background, Kaulig announced that the team will be running five Ram trucks next season in the Craftsman Truck Series.
To date no other teams have announced a change in manufacturers to Ram.
Kaulig spoke on the announcement saying, “this partnership represents far more than a new chapter in Kaulig Racing’s history. It’s a union of shared values. Over the past decade, our team has built a legacy rooted in performance, integrity and giving back to the community. To now join forces as the anchor team for Ram’s return to NASCAR is both an honor and a responsibility. Together, we’re ready to set a new standard on race day and in the impact we make off the track.”
Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis added, “we needed a partner that truly aligns with the Ram brand and embraces our unconventional approach to NASCAR. With Kaulig Racing, we found the perfect synergy to drive our ‘Last Tenth’ culture forward.”
Currently Kaulig runs cars in the Xfinity and Cup Series teams where they will continue to field Chevrolets; the addition of the Truck Series next season will be a new addition for Kaulig Racing.
