Over the next few days “The Sound of Music” will be ringing out all across southern England with the Reading and Leeds Music Festivals.

This year the festival will be showing off some major improvements to the grounds, campsites, and stages.

In what Reading and Leeds is calling the “world’s first huge shake-up” for music festivals.  Festival boss Melvin Benn said that campers will be able to “tailor” the experience that suits them best.

There are five campgrounds:
The Fields are open to anyone and offers a lively atmosphere with great vibes and no reservations required.  The Fields also offers a football pitch.

The Gardens offers a quieter setting with a 1am noise curfew, yoga, and medication.

The Grove is all about “inclusivity, respect, and creating a positive environment where everyone can relax and be themselves”.  The Grove offers an open mic, film screenings, and karaoke.

The Meadow is the place for the ecologically minded festival camper who want to “leave it the way they found it”.  The daytime activities include yoga, clothes swaps, and upcycling workshops.

The Valley is for those campers who love the festivals but also need a little “me time”.  Designed for singles and pairs, The Valley offers meet up and link up lounges.

All campsites features upgraded facilities that include mirrors, dressing tables, and power sockets.

There is also “a zero tolerance” on bad behaviour.

Bring Me the Horizon, Chappell Roan, Travis Scott, and Hozier were confirmed last year to perform this year’s headlining acts.
