The beloved George Bernard Shaw play “Pygmalion” is making a revival on Off Broadway with a limited run this fall.

The Gingold Theatrical Group is putting on the play with David Staller leading the creative team in celebration of their 20th anniversary.  The Al Hirschfeld Foundation is partnering with Gingold for a reimagined production of the play.

“Pygmalion” is set to run at Theatre Five October 22 thru November 22.

The cast will be named at a later date.

Shaw’s play inspired the award winning musical “My Fair Lady”.  It follows Eliza Doolittle and her journey from flower girl to cultured lady.

Director David Staller spoke on the play in a statement saying, “we’re celebrating Gingold’s 20th anniversary by presenting the play that created the template for all rom coms to come, Bernard Shaw’s ‘Pygmalion’. ‘Pygmalion’ is Shaw’s best-loved and most requested play, with dialogue so magnificently lyrical and entertaining you’ll never think to miss the songs!”

Lindsay Genevieve Fuori is the set designer with Jamie Roderick as lighting designer, Tracy Christensen as costume designer, Jullian Evans as sound designer, and Geoff Josselson as casting director.

Ticket information will be released at a later date.
