Kaulig Racing has announced that they have parted ways with Josh Williams – the driver of the Kaulig Racing number eleven Xfinity Series car. The departure is immediate.
Kaulig gave no reason for deciding to part ways with Williams. Williams issued a statement on social media saying, “as most of you have seen, Kaulig Racing has made the decision to release me for the remainder of the season. This has been a difficult day for my family, friends, long-time partners and fans, whom I can’t thank enough for standing by my side through all of this. We will be back soon and looking forward to a much brighter chapter in my racing career. I wish nothing but the best for my guys on the eleven team.”
Kaulig will field multiple drivers for the remainder of the 2025 Xfinity Racing season. Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar will be driving the number eleven car this weekend at Iowa.
Williams signed with Kaulig in 2024 and has earned six top 10 finishes in 54 races.
Williams has made 240 starts over the past 10 years in the Xfinity Series. He also has five starts in the Cup Series and two starts in the Craftsman Truck Series. Williams has earned two wins in the ARCA Menards Series but has failed to finish higher than sixth in his NASCAR career.
Williams made headlines in 2023 when NASCAR instructed Williams to park his car after a crash. Williams did…on the start/finish line; NASCAR was not amused and suspended Williams for one race as a result of his behaviour.
