For the Cup Series there are just six more races before the end of the regular season and the playoff field is set. 

With his third win of the season Sunday on the road course race at Sonoma, Shane van Gisbergen joins Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Chrisotpher Bell as three race winner.  He is now ranked third in the point standings.

There remains 12 race winners for the 2025 season; leaving only four spots open to fill out the playoff roster.  Tyler Reddick is the only driver without a win to be over 100 points above the cut line; but as we have seen over the past several weeks, drivers have proven a bad day on the track can send a driver tumbling in the standings.

In the Xfinity Series Justin Allgaier has a big lead in the point standings but in the playoff standings, he is tied with Austin Hill and Connor Zilisch for three race wins.  There are seven race winners, leaving five spots open as the regular season draws to a close.

Last week at Sonoma, Dale Earnhardt Jr’s JR Motorsport had all five of his drivers in the top 10; this week all four of his regular drivers are currently in the playoffs.

The Craftsman Truck Series only runs 23 races each season and as a result can have a number of weeks with no racing.  They will return at the end of the month for a triple header weekend in Indianapolis.

There are seven different race winners with Corey Heim leading the race by a large margin with his five wins; Chandler Smith with his two wins is the only other driver with more than one win.  Only three empty spots remain in the Truck Series.
