Last holiday season “Elf” ran on Broadway; this coming holiday season “A Christmas Carol” makes a return.
The classic will run at the Perelman Performing Arts Center beginning with previews on November 23. The official opening is set for December 4 and will run until December 28.
Jack Thorne and Matthew Warchus have adapted the classic originally penned by Charles Dickens.
The Thorne conceived “Christmas Carol” premiered in London in 2017 before coming to America in 2019.
The revival will include seating around the stage for the first time for a more immersive experience.
With the cast still to be announced, PAC NYC Artistic Director Bill Rauch spoke on the production saying, Matthew and Jack’s production of “A Christmas Carol” is stunning and incredibly entertaining. We are thrilled that multiple generations of families will be able to enjoy this story together and our theatres can offer the uniquely immersive staging that the artists originally dreamt up.”
Tickets for the show will go on sale beginning September 9.
