All seven of the lads in the popular Korean band BTS have served their military service and are ready to get back to the business of making music.
In a very exciting moment for fans, band members have announced a new album next year and a world tour beginning in the spring of 2026. They will be heading to the U.S. to record the new album.
The announcement was made in a livestream event on Weverse with all seven band members in attendance. It is the first time that all of the guys were together since serving their mandatory military service. With a few exceptions, all males must serve a mandatory stint in the South Korean military. There was hope that the band’s celebrity status would get them an exemption.
In speaking on making the new album the group said, since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”
Speaking on their future plans they added, “we’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”
BTS were last on stage together in 2022, a tour that drew over four million frenzied and screaming fans.
A few of the lads will be finishing up some solo performances before they all head into the studio to get back to work.
Over seven million wildly excited fans watched the livestream.
