Beach Boys legend and co-founder of The Beach Boys, Al Jardine has not released any new music in 15 years…until now.  He has just released a four song EP “Islands in the Sun”.

The four song EP is available to stream and download across all digital music sites.  Jardine recorded the songs in his California coast home studio.  Son Matt joins Al on the EP; Beach Boys mate Bruce Johnston and three children’s choirs from local schools also make guest appearances.

Speaking on the EP’s title track, Al Jardine says, “‘Islands In The Sun’ captures that special magic we felt and sang about on Beach Boys songs like ‘Island Girl’ and ‘Kokomo'”.  It was inspired by the enchanting calypso sounds of Harry Belafonte and Bob Marley’s laid-back reggae vibe. Now wouldn’t it be fun if we could bottle up the sun!”

Folk legend Neil Young joins Jardine on “My Plane Leaves Tomorrow (Au Revoir)” and Flea from The Red Hot Chili Peppers makes an appearance.

Tracklisting for the EP:
