It’s the longest race of the season on a somber weekend for the nation honouring Memorial Day and those who served.

Speaking on multi format racer Kyle Larson who will be attempting to do “The Double” this weekend and run the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600, Earnhardt said that calling Kyle Larson good is like calling the grass green.  Only four other drivers have attempted to do “The Double” but only one driver has completed all 1,100 laps – three time Cup Series champion Tony Stewart.

The drivers have been divided into two groups for a 25 minute practice session before make single car qualifying.  The drivers get just one set of tires for practice.
