Part two of the three day All Star Event is the heat races with Brad Keselowski and Christopher Bell leading each of the two heat races.
The heat races are 75 laps each with a competition caution around lap 30. All laps count.
Kyle Larson is in Indianapolis and will not be involved in the race. He will start from the back of the field in the Main Event.
The finishing lineup will set the inside row for the All Star Race. The only exception is Brad Keselowski will sit on the pole for the race.
Brad Keselowski brings the field down for the green flag start of heat number one with Alex Bowman alongside. Keselowski edges out for the lead with Alex Bowman and Austin Dillon in a battle for second. Drivers are getting three wide across the track.
Lap three, the top five are Brad Keselowski, Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, William Byron, and Tyler Reddick.
Lap six, Tyler Reddick is up to third and Ryan Blaney is just outside the top five after starting the race in last place.
Lap eight, Brad Keselowski continues to lead the race with Austin Dillon in second; Tyler Reddick, William Byron, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr round out the top five.
Lap eleven, Tyler Reddick battles with Austin Dillon for second.
Lap 13 Tyler Reddick takes second from Austin Dillon.
Goodyear recommends a psi of 12 in the tires but the crews are going as low as eight or nine psi.
Lap 16, Ryan Blaney has entered the top five.
Lap 19, William Byron and Austin Dillon battle for third; Dillon holds him off.
Lap 21, Ryan Blaney battles with William Byron for fourth.

The drivers have a set of sticker tires and both of their qualifier scuffs for this race.

NASCAR displays the yellow flag for the competition caution on lap 31.
Mike Joy reports that the person responsible for the Promoter’s caution flag will be in the flag stand during the whole race and “teasing” the fans about when to throw the caution flag. Brad Keselowski, Tyler Reddick, Josh Berry, and Austin Dillon stayed out on the track.
Ryan Blaney and Ricky Stenhouse Jr were caught speeding on pit road and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Lap 48, Ross Chastain put a “slide job” on Tyler Reddick for third.

Lap 50, Ross Chastain comes up on the inside to battle for the lead with Keselowski and Byron.
Lap 53, Ross Chastain and Brad Keselowski continue to battle for the lead.
Lap 58, William Byron comes up to make it a three way battle for the lead with Ryan Blaney on their bumper.
Lap 59, the top five are Brad Keselowski, Ross Chastain, Ryan Blaney, William Byron, and Alex Bowman.
Lap 63, Brad Keselowski has a half second lead on Ross Chastain.
Lap 67, as the battle for second continues, Brad Keselowski pulls out to a one second lead.
Five to go, Brad Keselowski holds on to a lead over half a second.

While Denny Hamlin has a very tight condition. Kyle Busch is reporting a loose condition in his car.
Lap 17, Harrison Burton battles with Denny Hamlin for the ninth spot.
Lap 20, Denny Hamlin falls to 10th place.
Lap 21, Christopher Bell has a second and a half lead on Chase Briscoe; Joey Logano, Chris Buescher, and Kyle Busch round out the top five.
Chase Elliott passes Daniel Suarez for seventh.
Lap 28, the field is spread out around the track with 15 seconds between leader Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin.
Lap 31, the yellow flag comes out for the competition caution.
Chase Briscoe is the only driver not to come down pit road for service. Christopher Bell wins the race off of pit road after taking only two tires. Austin Cindric also took only two tires.
