While the high profile play “Othello” has recouped all expenses, the show failed to earn any nominations in the release of the annual Tony Awards. The play that stars Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal is one of 13 Broadway productions that failed to earn any nominations.
A total of 29 plays and musicals earned at least one nomination including a number of first time nominations for actors.
Four of the 13 productions are still running on a full list of shows on Broadway.

“Cult of Love” ran from December 12, 2024 to February 2, 2025
The holiday show “Elf” ran from November 9, 2024 to January 4, 2025
“Home” ran from May 17, 2024 to July 21, 2024
“JOB” ran from July 15, 2024 to October 27, 2024
“Left on Tenth” ran from September 26, 2024 to February 2, 2025
“McNeal” ran from September 5, 2024 to November 24, 2024
Stepen Sondheim’s “Old Friends” opened in Previews on March 25 with an official opening on April 8…and is still running
“Once Upon a Mattress” ran from July 31 to November 30, 2024
“Othello” opened with previews on February 24 with an official opening March 23 and is still running
“Redwood” opened with previews on January 24, 2025 with an official opening on February 13 and is still running
The musical “Tammy Faye” opened November 14, 2024 and ran to December 8, 2024
“The Last Five Years” opened to previews on March 18 with an official opening on April 6 and is still running
