Show Breaks Own Record!

As the time approaches for the Tony Award nominee announcement approaches, the current shows on Broadway continue to break records.  Tony Award nominations come out May 1.

Despite an overall eight percent drop in box office receipts, the George Clooney play “Good Night, and Good Luck” barely missed the $4 million mark last week.

Twenty of the 40 shows running made it into the Million Dollar Club with five of them topping the $2 million mark.

There are just three more weeks remaining in the official 2024-25 theatre season and Broadway is on target to top last season’s overall box office by some 20 percent.
