Not an empty house to be found…on Broadway that is! Every theatre on Broadway is open with a show – 40 – and last week the total box office receipts blew away the record with $50,87 million! Seven shows topped the two million mark with three of those bringing in over $3 million. Eight of the shows saw full houses with at least at 100 percent capacity! “Call Me Izzy” is preparing for a May opening, making it the final show to fill up all 41 theatres on Broadway.
Broadway has not seen a full house since 2018.
While having a packed Broadway makes for a good box office; ticket prices were higher across the board last week.
