It was a triple header weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway this past weekend. Cup Series driver Kyle Larson ran in all three races hoping to become just the second driver to do so – Kyle Busch has done it twice at Bristol Motor Speedway. Larson managed to win two of the three races including the Cup Series win. Larson dominated the Xfinity Series race but a late race restart made Justin Allgaier the first repeat winner of the season in the Xfinity Series. While he didn’t have the best truck or Cup Series car, Larson spent much of the race within inches of the outside wall. FOX Broadcaster Clint Bowyer noted that Larson actually hit the wall some 20 times in the Cup Series race.
Ryan Blaney suffered his second blown engine this season and finished 36th of 37 drivers in the race.
William Byron holds on to the points lead in the Cup Series. Kyle Larson moved up four spots in the standings after his win at Homestead-Miami.
