It was a doubleheader weekend for the Xfinity and Cup Series drivers at Phoenix Raceway. For some of the drivers, the spring race at Phoenix is a warmup for the November race that crowns the new champion.
Both races went into overtime and ended with some tight racing and three way battles to the end.
In the Cup Series Christopher Bell made history by being the first driver to win three races in a row in the Next Gen car. Over the course of NASCAR history the feat has been done 30 times before with several of the drivers going on to earn a championship at the end of the season.
William Byron holds on to the point standings with Christopher Bell moving up two spots to second place.
