That spectacle that is Daytona International Speedway and the festival that starts the beginning of the NASCAR season has passed and now the teams get down to business when they travel to Atlanta Motor Speedway for a triple header weekend.

The Craftsman Truck Series gets the weekend started with the Fr8 208.

Just 33 drivers are entered in the race including a return of Rowdy himself when Kyle Busch drives the seven truck for Spire Motorsports and Michael McDowell.

Kaden Honeycutt was the first driver on the track for qualifying and posted a time of 32.626 seconds around the mile and a half track.

Due to mechanical issues Justin Carroll will not make a qualifying run but will be in the race later tonight.

Eleven of the drivers in the field have never been on the track at Atlanta.

Bayley Currey has no power and will not make a qualifying run, but he will make the race.

The Tricon Garage crew have several crew members and drivers are feeling a bit “under the weather” but will be in the race.  Drivers are known for not getting out of their vehicles even when they are sick or hurt.

Ben Rhodes was the first top 10 driver on the track and posted a lap of 32.194 seconds – the exact same time he ran in round one.

Connor Mosack is the first driver to break the 32 second mark with a time of 31.969 seconds.

With a time of 31.969 seconds, Connor Mosack puts his number 81 truck on the pole for his first pole ever.

Nine drivers in the race have never run a lap at Atlanta.

Stages one and two of the race are 30 laps each with stage three lasting 75 laps for a total of 135 laps around the 1.5 mile track.

With his first career pole, Connor Mosack brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with Grant Enfinger alongside.  Mosack gets out in front for the lead.

Lap two, Connor Mosack leads the race with Jack Wood in second; Tyler Ankrum, Daniel Hemric, and Kyle Busch round out the top five.

Lap five, Connor Mosack continues to lead the race with Jack Wood holding on to second place.

The field has gotten single file.

After a number of issues, Chandler Smith started the race from the back of the field.  On lap eight, he has moved up nine spots since the race start.

Lap nine, Connor Mosack leads the race; Jack Wood, Tyler Ankrum, Daniel Hemric, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Connor Mosack reports that his truck is “a bit free”.

Lap 12, Ben Rhodes tries to move out of the pack to move up and ends up falling through the field to 16th.

Lap 18, Connor Mosack has led every lap so far with Jack Wood in second; Tyler Ankrum, Daniel Hemric, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.  Kyle Busch has dropped to ninth.

Grant Enfinger leads the race off of pit road.

Daniel Hemric and Nathan Byrd were caught speeding on pit road.

After staying out on the track Corey Heim leads the race.

Lap 39, Ty Majeski passes Corey Heim for the lead; Corey Heim, Kyle Busch, Connor Mosack, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Matt Crafton comes down pit road with a flat tire after hitting the wall.

Lap 41, Kyle Busch takes the lead with Connor Mosack in second; Ty Majeski, Tyler Ankrum, and Corey Heim round out the top five.

Lap 42, Connor Mosack and Kyle Busch battle for the lead.

Matt Crafton has been charged with a commitment cone violation and will have to serve a pass through penalty.

Lap 44, Kyle Busch leads the race with Ty Majeski in second.

Lap 46, the top five are Kyle Busch, Ty Majeski, Connor Mosack, Corey Heim, and Tyler Ankrum.

Now leading the race, Kyle Busch has led in all 15 Truck Series starts at Atlanta.

Ten lap remain in stage two, Kyle Busch leads the race with Ty Majeski in second.

Lap 53, Kyle Busch has just a tenth of a second lead on Ty Majeski; Corey Heim, Jack Wood, and Michael McDowell round out the top five.  Leaders are single file.

Keith McGee is off the track with mechanical issues.

With three laps remaining in stage two the drivers are getting three wide.

Corey Heim is slowed on the track but makes it to pit road.

With a 75 lap stage, all of the drivers will have to make a pit stop during the stage.

Ty Majeski ran out of fuel but made it to pit road.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Rajah Caruth winning the race off of pit road.

Ty Majeski is charged with pitting while pit road was closed and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Corey Heim returns to the track four laps down.

Chandler Smith is charged with a safety violation when a crew member fell over the wall.

Rajah Caruth brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 68 with Daniel Hemric alongside.  In a three wide battle for the lead, Grant Enfinger takes the lead.  Michael McDowell is falling through the field with some sort of truck issue.

Lap 70, Raha Caruth and Grant Enfinger battles for the lead.

Jack Wood gets into the wall but the track stays green.

Lap 72, Connor Mosack takes the lead.

The top five are Connor Mosack, Rajah Caruth, Daniel Hemric, Andres Perez, and Kyle Busch.

Lap 73, Kyle Busch moves up to battle with Connor Mosack for the lead.

Lap 74, the caution flag comes out for a big crash.  Rajah Caruth cut a tire and went spinning.  William Sawalich, Andres Perez, Daniel Hemric, and Tyler Ankrum were also involved.

NASCAR has red flagged the race to get the track cleaned up.

After an eleven minute delay, NASCAR pulls the red flag and displays the yellow flag.  The drivers get moving once again.

With 55 laps remaining in the race, it is questionable as to whether the drivers can make it to the end of the race.

Drivers come down pit road to top off the fuel cells.  Kyle Busch wins the race off of pit road.

Officials have issued a number of penalties including Stewart Friesen pitting outside the box, pitting too soon, and pitting while pit road was closed.  All drivers will restart the race from the back of the field.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart with 50 laps remaining in the race with Grant Enfinger alongside.  Busch takes the lead, getting a push from Connor Mosack.

The top five are Kyle Busch, Connor Mosack, Ben Rhodes, Kaden Honeycutt, and Tanner Gray.

Ben Rhodes passes Connor Mosack for second.

With 21 trucks on the lead lap Rajah Caruth and William Sawalich are out of the race.  Justin Carroll is off the track.

Forty-two laps remain in the race with Kyle Busch leading the race; Ben Rhodes, Kaden Honeycutt, Tanner Gray, and Bayley Currey round out the top five.

There are 39 laps to go with Kyle Busch continuing to lead the race.

Just 34 laps to go, Kyle Busch leads the race with Ben Rhodes in second; Kaden Honeycutt, Tanner Gray, and Bayley Currey round out the top five.

Thirty go, Kyle Busch has dominated stage three so far.

The caution flag comes out with 29 laps to go after Frankie Muniz and Connor Mosack get into the wall after a three wide battle.  Muiz is stopped on the track.

A few trucks come down pit road to top off the fuel cells.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart with 23 laps remaining in the race with Gio Ruggiero alongside on the inside.  Getting a push form Ben Rhodes, Kyle Busch holds on to the lead.

Grant Enfinger comes up on the inside to battle with Kyle Busch for the lead. 

Twenty to go!  The top five are Grant Enfinger, Kyle Busch, ben Rhodes, Luke Fenhaus, and Kaden Honeycutt.

With 17 to go, Luke Fenhaus comes up on the inside to battle with Kyle Busch for the lead.  Fenhaus takes the lead with Kyle Busch in second; Chandler Smith, Gio Ruggiero, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.

Fourteen to go, Kyle Busch retakes the lead.
