There were just 29 shows to play on Broadway last week with “Our Town” playing its last show on Sunday.  Broadway brought in over $33 million with “Wicked” the only show to bring in over $2 million and lead the  19 shows in the Million Dollar Club.

Typically January is a slow month for Broadway with a lull after the holiday season and before the onslaught of the spring debuts.

Also playing its final week, “The Great Gatsby” joined “Wicked”, “Hamilton”, “Gypsy”, and “The Lion King” in the top five of the Million Dollar Club.

“English” opens this week on January 23.
