The NFL regular season has concluded.  Players get set to clean out lockers and the front office looks to “clean out” the staff in hopes of hiring a winner.

With the end of the season comes the beginning of playoff season and draft season.

When the NFL Draft takes place in April, the Tennessee Titans will get the first pick.  The Titans finished the season with a record of 3 wins and 14 loses.

The draft order is determined by a team’s record with the team having the most loses at the top.

The order of the first 18 draft picks – barring any trades – is:
Tennessee Titans
Cleveland Browns
New York Giants
New England Patriots
Jacksonville Jaguars
Las Vegas Raiders
New York Jest
Carolina Panthers
New Orleans Saints
Chicago Bears
San Francisco 49ers
Dallas Cowboys
Miami Dolphins
Indianapolis Colts
Atlanta Falcons
Arizona Cardinals
Cincinnati Bengals
Seattle Seahawks

The remaining teams:
Houston Texans
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Pittsburgh Steelers
Denver Broncos
Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Chargers
Green Bay Packers
Washington Commanders
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Philadelphia Eagles
Minnesota Vikings
Detroit Lions
and Kansas City Chiefs
are all in the playoffs and will have their names added to the draft roster as they are eliminated from the playoffs.

There are seven rounds in the draft with each team potentially receiving a single draft in each of the rounds; but teams make trades to try and get extra picks or to move up for a better shot at a particular player.

Players must “declare” they are entering the draft and be out of high school for at least three years; unlike baseball, the NFL does not draft high school players.
