There are millions of musicians all over the world with many of them constantly on the lookout for a new song to learn.  In 2024, the top songs selected for learning on the guitar and piano did not always follow the list of songs that top the list of those streamed by the music listening public.

According to Ultimate Guitar and MuseScore Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan top the list.  Gracie Abrams and Gigi Perez are also very popular; especially among budding guitarists.

When it comes to the most learned song in modern history, The Eagles “Hotel California” and Radiohead’s “Creep” top the list.  JVKE, Joe Hisaishi, Kanye West, and Patrick Watson are also popular.

In the Pop music genre, Ed Sheeren rules the roost; followed by Bruno Mars, James Arthur, and Adele.

But when it comes to the most viewed artist…Classical music artist Ludvig van Beethoven tops the list with Hans Zimmer in second.
