Eighties rockers Toto, Christopher Cross, and Men at Work are not holding back as they mix up the Vegemite and prepare to go “Sailing” off across America for a tour next summer.
Toto’s Steve Lukather spoke on the upcoming tour saying, “I am thrilled about this tour. Christopher and Colin have been close friends of mine for a long time. This is a tour that musically works, and brings a fresh new Summer tour package to the circuit. I could not be more thrilled an idea that germinated months ago was able to take flight and become a reality.”
Colin Hay of Men at Work adds, “the mix of Christopher, Steve with Toto, and Men At Work rings true to me. I think it will make for an exciting night of music for old and new fans alike. Let’s go!!”
Christopher Cross concluded, “I’m honored to be sharing the stage during the summer of 2025 with my dear friends Toto and Men At Work.”
This has been a platinum year for Toto who has seen three of their songs earning new certifications by the RIAA – Recording Industry Association of America. “Africa” has been certified with a Diamond Award for selling 10 million copies in the United States, “Hold the Line” is now at triple platinum for selling three million copies, and “Rosanna” has been certified double platinum for two million copies. In addition, “Africa” and “Hold the Line” have hit one billion streams on Spotify with a total of four billion streams on Spotify and six billion streams across all platforms!
Aussie band Men at Work officially broke up in 1985 but Colin Hay and Grag Ham reformed the band in 1996. They continued until Ham’s death. Hay has reformed the band and continues to tour.
Prior to the North American summer tour, Christopher Cross and Toto will make a jaunt through Europe. Cross was the first artist in Grammy history to win all four of the big awards in the same year – Record, Album, and Song of the Year plus the Best New Artist award.
