The incoming president says that he is going to lower prices…or at least the price of groceries. 

Well, YouTube TV fans are going to need all the help they can get, The video service is making a significant price hike beginning January 13 for subscribers.  The price hike will go in effect immediately for new customers.

Citing “the rising cost of content”, You Tube is raising the price of its basic plan by $10 to $82.99.

Speaking on the move You Tube said, “we don’t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this impacts our members.”

The price of the YouTube TV service has more than doubled since launching in 2017 when customers paid just $35 per month.

The YouTube TV service currently touts offering over 100 channels, a DVR service with unlimited storage, and up to six accounts per household.  YouTube says that there will be no changes to the service.

The new price hike from YouTube is equivalent to the Disney’s Hulu + Live TV bundle.
