In the week before Thanksgiving and the kick off to the holiday season, the revival of “Gypsy” made its debut with only three preview performances with 100 percent capacity…and just missing out on making the Million Dollar Club. The show is set to open officially on December 19.
Broadway is in full fall swing with 39 productions running, one-third of them – 13 – made it in the Million Dollar Club with two of them topping $2 million. It was the final week of performances for “McNeal” with the production landing in fifth place in the Million Dollar Club.
Overall, Broadway saw an increase of over six percent last week. With the holiday this week all of the shows have made some schedule changes with Broadway going dark for Thanksgiving.
