In its opening weekend, the new “Wicked” film broke records the world over with a $164 million in global box office receipts.
The numbers shatter the record for a film adaptation of a Broadway production of just $30 million for “Into the Woods” in 2014.
The sing along version of the film is set to begin next month; but reports are that many movie goers aren’t waiting and singing along with the film already.
