On November 3, Major League Baseball announced the winners of the 2024 Gold Glove winners to the players in each league who have excelled in defensive play throughout the season.  And nearly half of them – 14 – are first time winners.  It is the fifth season in a row that at least 10 of the Gold Glove winners earned a Gold Glove for the first time.

However, neither the American League champion New York Yankees nor the World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers have a Gold Glove Award winner for 2024.
