With AJ Allmendinger moving  back up to the Cup Series next season, there is an open spot in the Xfinity Series at Kaulig Racing.

On August 22, Kaulig Racing has announced that Craftsman Truck Series regular Daniel Dye will make the move up to the Xfinity Series and drive the number 10 car next season.

Dye has made nine Xfinity Series starts for Kaulig in the past couple of years with a career best finish of seventh place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Dye is scheduled to run three more races this season in the Xfinity Series

The Deland, Florida native will start the first playoff race in the Truck Series race at Milwaukee this Sunday as a part of the 10 playoff drivers.
