It didn’t win any Tony Awards, but the revival of “The Wiz” had the highest grossing week in the history of the show, coming in just short of $2 million in its final week of performances.

“Oh, Mary!” broke the house record at the Lyceum and earned a spot in the Million Dollar Club.

The productions broke records despite having a drop in receipts last week of eight percent.

Thirteen of the 25 productions running last week made it into the Million Dollar Club with “The Lion King” leading the way as the only show that topped $2 Million.

With September quickly approaching, the fall shows will be hitting the boards in short order.  “Job” and “Once Upon a Mattress” have recently opened; with “The Roommate”, “The Hills of California”, and McNeal” waiting in the wings.

Five of the 16 shows in the 90 percent club had 100 percent occupancy with “The Outsiders” reaching 102 percent.
