This past weekend NASCAR made its return to racing with the Craftsman Truck Series and the Cup Series at Richmond Raceway for some short track racing. The weekend was not without controversy and suspense however. It was the final race of the regular season for the Truck Series and there was a controversial ending to the overtime finish of the Cup Series race that involved some old fashioned beating and banging that sent two cars wrecking. Austin Dillon ended a 68 race loosing streak with that controversial win; shaking up the playoffs in the process.
In the Cup Series, Kyle Larson holds on to the points lead with 779 points – 225 of them stage points.
